ORPHAN LIGHTS DAYCARE

In repairing all those orphan bikelights, found scattered around in the city's streets, I come across the most weird little problems. After collecting the lights, cleaning them and giving them new batteries, the fun has yet to begin. These damaged, delicate electronics often need some very subtle and specific reconstruction to finally work again.

Successful electricital conduction becomes visual through the LED, pre-programmed lightpatterns change throughout the manipulation of the object and unpredictable sollutions, to make the light work again, arise.

I call this spontaneous, ad-hoc problem solving process "impro-engineering".
