Insulating Airbed Workstation

Video of me constructing a machine that recycles plastic bottles and milkboxes into air mattresses, using discarded materials (from the streets of Ghent).

Full installation: two functional machines, one for reshaping and joining plastic bottles (containing air) and one for welding milkbox sheets (used for protection and shape of the mattress). The insulating airbeds are completely recyclable. By using only PMD-bin materials and working with meltingtechniques, no strange materials need to be added in the production of the air mattresses, making them 100% PMD-bin proof.

The connections in the machines are a result of ad hoc desicion making, using what you have and what you find immediatly to make the functional objects you need; I like to call it "impro-engineering".
